Earlier this month, Alicia Keys released her sixth studio album, Here, and she doesn't seem to be slowing down – thankfully.
During an interview on the Apple Music Beats 1 show, Alicia Keys was asked about her thoughts on Wizkid and the viral Instagram post of her dancing to his mega-hit, "Ojuelegba".
Speaking about her love for Wizkid and a possible collaboration, Alicia said:
"I love Wizkid. Definitely love that energy. We actually vibed on some stuff and it was dope."
Also speaking about the benefits of different artistes and genres coming together, Alicia said:
"Whenever music cross-pollinates, starts to blow in the wind, come all around and be influenced by different sonics and different sounds – that’s what’s so incredible about music.
I mean, how much of Fela was influenced by James Brown? When that happens, the greatest music happens, because there’s no boundary of its definition and where it can live."
With the incredible success of Wizkid's collaboration with Drake, we already know what is possible when the Afrobeat superstar works with an incredible talent – so yeah, consider us officially hyped.
