Konbini Picks: These Are Our Favourite Wande Coal Songs Of All Time

Last year, Davido headlined his first concert in five years and while everyone was excited about it, it seemed as though the best part of the night was the Mo' hits reunion.

Their heartbreaking split in 2011 was a national tragedy which we're still yet to get over. Mo’ Hits were running the game for six summers straight, and Wande Coal, Don Jazzy, Dr SID and D’Banj can take the lion share of credit for that.

If we're keeping it a buck, Wande Coal was the best musical talent, and his staying power after the split proves this. His vocal backing on Mo' hits songs such as "Close To You", "Pere" and "Booty Call" were the best part of each song, and his stellar debut album Mushin 2 Mo Hits can be considered a modern classic.

Since Mo' Hits' split, they have all tried (to little avail) to come back to that initial glory, and the only person who has come nearly as close is Wande Coal. He didn't try and redefine his sound like others did, he just grew as an artist and continued to give us hit after hit. Even though there were some misses, the hits were good enough to pretend like they didn't happen!

We're not sure what the aftermath of this Mo' Hits reunion will be, however, in anticipation of whatever might come, here are our favourite Wande Coal songs of all time!
