AMVCA-winner, Stanlee Ohikhuare (Verdict), has released the 3-minute teaser for his upcoming political thriller, Madam President, and it looks pretty solid (not sure why it's a teaser if it's three minutes long though).
Madam President is set in Ghana and follows a series of politically-charged events that are caused by the death of the country's president.
Since the actual synopsis of the movie hasn't been released yet, allow us to jump to semi-reasonable conclusions from the teaser alone: Ireti Doyle seems to be playing an Olivia Pope-esque character that is clearly in the running to take over, following the death of the president – it also looks like she was involved in his death (but that might just be us reaching).
Madam President is written and produced by Patrick Doyle, it's also directed by Patrick Doyle alongside Ohikuare. The supporting cast is filled with strong actors like Deyemi Okanlawon (Gidi Up), Taiwo Ajai-Lycett (Tinsel), Kalu Ikeagwu (Tinsel) and a bunch of others – enough to raise our expectations considerably.
