Ryan Reynolds Admits He Hasn't Actually Seen The Final Cut Of 'Green Lantern'

The name Ryan Reynolds is now so connected to the character Deadpool that it's easy to forget that the actor already played a DC Comics superhero. Back in 2011, Reynolds stepped into the role of Green Lantern for a movie that was... well, not very well received. Smashed by critics and the public, Green Lantern was so bad that even Reynolds has now admitted he's never actually seen the whole thing.

Reynolds dropped the revelation during an interview with Entertainment Weekly ahead of the release of Deadpool 2. "I’ve got to be really careful how I answer this," said the actor. "Look, I’ve never seen the full final version of Green Lantern. I saw a very late stage rough cut of the film." He went on to say:

"Now, that isn’t to say that I didn’t want to see it because I didn’t like it. I have movies that have been received pretty well that I haven’t seen, and then I have movies that I have seen 100 times that people don’t like but I just like.

The Green Lantern [joke in Deadpool] to me is just sort of, I don’t know, kind of fun. It’s me just taking the piss out of me, but it’s more Wade [Deadpool’s real name] though."

Honestly, we can't blame him. Nonetheless, we're sure it won't stop him poking fun at the movie again when Deadpool 2 hits on May 16
