Up to this point, we didn't know all that much about the new Jurassic World movie, beyond the fact that Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) were poised to track down Blue. Overall, though, we saw more hungry dinos than any real plot details. But with less than two months to go until the blockbuster's release, Universal has surprised us with a new trailer which... honestly, almost gives too much away.
Featuring plenty of exclusive images, we can't help but feel the clip also contains a few more spoilers than we wanted. Nonetheless, it looks like we're in for an epic ride thanks to a major plot twist. We'll let you discover it for ourself in the trailer above, but here's what director J.A. Bayona had to say about it:
"The first half, you have a whole dinosaur movie on the island, so you have what you expect from a Jurassic movie. Then the second half moves to a totally different environment that feels more suspenseful, darker, claustrophobic, and even has this kind of gothic element, which I love."
It remains to be seen exactly how the franchise is going to continue in its third chapter, expected for 2021. In the meantime, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will hit cinemas on June 6.
