After a few busy months, we thought Tom Hardy might want to take a little time out to relax before his next role. How naive we were. As it turns out, just a few weeks after confirming his latest part on Instagram, shooting has already begun for Fonzo which will see Hardy play legendary gangster Al Capone. With filming kicking off two weeks before planned, the 40-year-old has even found time to drop a first look of himself on-set.
Taking to social media, Hardy dropped a couple of shots of himself sporting the famous scar that earned Al Capone the nickname 'Scarface' and a shaved head. For the moment, we don't know much about the movie itself, other than the fact it will be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle, The Fantastic Four) and that it will focus on the last days of Capone's life as he suffered dementia as a result of syphilis.
Linda Cardellini, Jack Lowden, Matt Dillon, Kyle MacLachlan (!) and Kathrine Narducci will also be featuring. Check out a glimpse of Hardy in the exciting role just below.
