TV presenter, Bolanle Olukanni proves she has more than her TV talents to offer, as she embarks on a different venture with her new documentary, God's Wives – a story that highlights the plight of widows.
Written, produced and directed by Bolanle, the passion project, as she calls it, was birthed after working with widows at the Self-Worth Empowerment Centre – an NGO which provides people with group therapy, empowerment courses and access to self-improvement tools.
God's Wives is a story of loss, survival and hope. The documentary talks about the stories of two widows Chinwe Agulonu and Nkechi Ezeh, and how they survive in their trying circumstances. From the looks of it, God's Wives aims to shed light on the plight of others, who we might not ordinarily think about during our day-to-day. It's a story meant to inspire the audience.
