'Black Mirror' Season 5 Has Already Started Shooting

Charlie Brooker doesn't mess around. Taking to the red carpet for the Royal Television Society (RTS) awards alongside executive producer Annabel Jones, the showrunner announced that filming of Black Mirror season five has already begun, despite the fact that the show was only renewed a couple of weeks ago

"Season five, we are filming one [episode] at the moment", Brooker revealed. "We are about to start filming another one imminently. I’m writing the next one and then it gets a bit more foggy."While season four was perhaps not as well received as previous chapters, the show remains a safe bet for Netflix. Picking up three prizes at the RTS awards, Brooker commented on the show's parallels with reality during his acceptance speech. He said

"I have heard 2017 described as being trapped in one long unending Black Mirror episode. But I like to think if I had written it, it wouldn't be so on the nose with all the Nazis and hate."

For now, no plot details have been revealed for the upcoming season. But with two episodes almost in the bag, we're hoping it won't be long before more info drops. You can catch the first four seasons of Black Mirror right now on Netflix
