Following a first short-and-not-sweet teaser, Netflix has dropped the first images of two upcoming episodes from Black Mirror season four.
The first, entitled "Arkangel", is set to depict a world where new technology allows us to control and – in theory – protect children from the dangers of the outside world.
The episode will see a worried mother, played by Rosemarie Dewit (La La Land, Mad Men) try out the device after her child goes missing. But we're guessing things won't go quite as planned...
Directed by Jodie Foster, this will be the first Black Mirror episode to be led by a woman.
The second instalment "Crocodile" looks to be more of a detective thriller.
We don't have any precise details of the plot for the moment but it looks like it's based around memory-boosting technology allowing people to remember details of disturbing accidents. But, as the trailer warns us, "Memories can be subjective."
Directed by John Hillcoat (Triple Nine, Lawless), this episode is set to star Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Bloodline), Andrew Gower (Outlander) and Kiran Sonia Sawar (Murdered By My Father).
Charlie Brooker penned all six episodes of the season, which does not yet have a release date.
