Since Hollywood has simply refused to give the talented and charismatic Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Game of Thrones) great movie roles, it looks like we'll just have to settle for seeing him dominate the small screen instead.
Following his solid work in the recently cancelled ABC drama, Ten Days in the Valley, the British-Nigerian actor is set to star alongside Robin Tunney (The Mentalist) and Adam Rayner (Tyrant) in another ABC drama, The Fix.
Described as "part legal thriller, part confessional and part revenge fantasy", The Fix follows Maya Travis (Tunney), a prosecutor who quit her job and left Los Angeles after the jury found Oscar-winning actor, Sevvy Johnson innocent of a double murder.
When, eight years later, news breaks that Sevvy Johnson’s girlfriend has been brutally murdered, Maya makes the decision to return to Los Angeles to confront the alleged murderer, seek justice and redeem her career.
Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play Steven "Sevvy" Johnson, the actor who was accused of murdering his wife and another woman. During the course of the trial, Sevvy maintained his innocence, but with the murder of his young girlfriend, he’s under suspicion again.
No official release date has been announced, but this sounds like it has the potential to be our new favourite show.
