For the past three years, Better Call Saul fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. While a Heisenberg comeback seems pretty improbable for now, the arrival of Jesse Pinkman wouldn't be that far-fetched – all the more so since showrunner Vince Gilligan has never denied the possibility. Now, Aaron Paul has thrown yet more fuel on the fire with an Instagram post that seemingly points to his participation in the upcoming fourth season of the spinoff show.
In the photo, Paul is seen drinking a coffee in front of an 'AMC Network' sign. According to the latest rumours, the actor may be negotiating a contract with the network to appear once again in the Breaking Bad universe. This hypothesis seems in line with the photo's caption, which reads: "Good morning old friend."
Better Call Saul season four began filming in January in Albuquerque and is set to round off at the start of May, giving Jesse Pinkman plenty of time to appear in at least a few scenes. At best, we can hope for a proper role in the show; at worst, we're expecting at least a short cameo. For the moment, the release date for season four is fixed for September 2018.
The first three seasons of Better Call Saul are available right now on Netflix.
