Despite not always the best idea, spontaneity is also known to produce some of the most off-the-wall results that take everyone's breath away. Many contemporary creators are embracing this practice – from tattoo artists to musicians, and Los Angeles-based duo Kremer & Johnson is no exception.
Comprised of photographers Neil Kremer and Cory Johnson, the team has been working on a particularly spontaneous photo series titled Craigslist Encounters.
As you maybe already divulged from the name, the series features people found on Craigslist, the classified advertisement website that you visit when looking for... literally anything!
Anything can be found on Craigslist, from bed frames to jobs and romantic relationships, so Kremer and Johnson decided to peruse the source for finding interesting portrait subjects for. The guys posted the following ad and before long, messages started pouring in:
"Portrait subjects needed (Anywhere). Compensation: $20 per hour. Portrait photographer seeking subjects. Looking for interesting people to photograph… all shapes, races, genders, and sizes are welcome. I will come to you at your convenience."
The subjects were then matched with certain locations that best fitted their character, and so the photo shoots began. You can see the results below, and be sure to visit Kremer & Johnson's website for more cool stuff.
