The Trailer For The Heath Ledger Documentary Is Finally Out

Update (5/4/17): The trailer for I am Heath Ledger, the new documentary charting the beloved actor's life is finally out. Featuring interviews with the unforgettable artist's inner circles, the film is set to be an eye-wetting hit.

I am Heath Ledger is out in selected cinemas on May 3 and premieres on Spike TV on May 17.

Original article (16/3/17): Despite his tragically early death aged just 28, Heath Ledger's legacy as an actor has lived on thanks to his memorable performances over his brief career.

His ability to work in comedies like 10 Things I Hate About You as well as dramatic roles like Brokeback Mountain meant that he took on a variety of diverse projects. Most notably his incarnation of the Joker in The Dark Knight.

The role of the Joker became entwined with Heath's death, and for many his process preparing for the part is morbidly interesting.

It seems that is still the case almost a decade after his death, as Spike TV's series I Am is set to focus on Ledger for an upcoming documentary.

Tackling actors who have died before their time such as Bruce Lee and Chris Farley, according to The Wrap the documentary will include interviews with actors who worked with Ledger, as well as clips from his distinctive roles.

I Am is scheduled to release it's documentary on Spike TV this May.
