Mandy Is This Year's Craziest Film, And The Trailer Proves It

Sometimes, cinematic UFOs appear before our eyes. UFOs which become B movies, films which are quickly forgotten. Others have better luck, and due to a unique combination of risk-taking and outsized ambition, manage to leave us open-mouthed, gasping: "It's incredible". That's more or less the effect which Mandy had on us at the screening held at the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival.

Behind the film, which sees Nicolas Cage play the very craziest of characters, lies a certain Panos Cosmatos, the Canadian director responsible for Beyond the Black Rainbow, which was released eight years ago. We won't give anything more away... You can see the film in theaters in the US from September 14.
