It's been over a year since Frank Ocean released Blonde, and it finally seems he may soon make his comeback – only this time, on cinema screens.
As Hypebae reveals today, the singer’s IMDB page has just been updated, revealing that he will appear in Ships Passing in the Night, a film currently in pre-production.
Directed by Michael Kang, this feature film, in which our artist is set to play the character Kevin, tells the story of an impossible love between Brad Bang, "one of the world’s most famous models" and Grace Sol, "a passionate yet fragile actress".
This project, if confirmed, will not be Frank Ocean’s first experience in the film world. The 30-year old, who declared his love of film by publishing a list of his favourite films and by covering the iconic song "Moon River" (sung by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s), has already participated in the soundtracks for several films.
These include The Great Gatsby by Baz Luhrmann, The Bling Ring by Sofia Coppola, and more recently, Southpaw by Antoine Fuqua, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal.
