Everyone can agree that one of the best tracks off Burna Boy's fantastic mixtape, Outside, is the Lily Allen-assisted "Heaven's Gate". Now, the afro-fusion star returns the favour by bringing his infectious energy to "Your Choice" — one of the standouts of Allen's equally fantastic new album, No Shame.
Excellently produced by Pro2Jay — the genius who gave us jams like Burna Boy's "Koni Baje" and Tiwa Savage's "Get It Now" — "Your Choice" is further proof that the synergy Allen and Burna displayed on "Heaven's Gate" was no fluke. The gifted stars work tremendously well together.
On the immensely catchy track, they both sing about letting go of a relationship that's clearly doomed. "Not gonna lie but this might be dying/Surprised 'cause I thought you were alright/Feels like every night we're fighting", Lily sings on her dreamy opening verse.
As for the album as a whole, it just might be the best thing Lily Allen has ever done. Honest, raw and heartbreaking, the aptly-titled No Shame finds the pop star laying her personal life bare for her listeners, and the result is a truly towering accomplishment.
