Dutch historian / photographer Jo Teeuwisse creates some slightly creepy but very interesting scenarios in her latest ‘Ghosts of History’ photo series.
The effect is achieved by pinpointing the exact location where an old photo was taken, travelling to the spot – making sure it generally still exists in the same form obviously – and taking a modern day photo then this is followed up by an editing process where Teeuwisse then combines the two stills into a composite image.
Gives a real good effect as the black and white characters look like ghosts of a bygone era in the end shots.
